An unusual options activity screener for options with unusually high volume relative to open interest, which can indicate institutional positioning

How this screener works

Filters for stock and ETF options where: volume/open interest ratio > 1.24, last price > $0.10, volume > 500, and open interest > 100. A high volume-to-open-interest ratio indicates that current trading activity significantly exceeds the number of outstanding contracts — often a sign of new institutional positioning or informed speculation. Contracts are sorted by volume/OI ratio descending. The symbol column shows the underlying stock ticker for chart navigation.

Unusual Options Activity

An unusual options activity screener for options with unusually high volume relative to open interest, which can indicate institutional positioning

How this unusual options activity screener builds its list

The unusual options activity screener compares contract volume against open interest, so a large trade only appears when it is large relative to what was already there.
